Readings are displayed on a large dual display (4-digit LCD, 3/8"H; and 5-character alphanumeric, 3/16"H). Open sensor, overrange, underrange, and low-battery indications are also displayed on the LCD readout. Nonvolatile memory stores factory and field calibration constants, currently selected scale, resolution, peak and valley values probe type, and up to 99 user-selected readings.
Easy-to-use function keys to help you with your measuring applications. PEAK and VALLEY keys display the maximum and minimum as well as the ambient temperature readings. HOLD "freezes" the current reading. Use the store function to store up to 99 readings in non-volatile memory; press CLEAR to remove all readings from memory. RECALL displays the average and the total number of stored readings. Display stored readings (sequentially with their sequence numbers) using the INC and DEC keys.
Use the DT function to display the differential between present temperature and temperature at the time the key was pressed. The differential value is continuously updated until another key is pressed. This feature is ideal for comparing two items that are closely related in temperature or for monitoring small temperature variations in a sample.
The microprocessor-based Thermistor Thermometer features automatic or manual field calibration. Calibrate the thermistor probe automatically to either 32 or 212°F (0 or 100°C) or manually to any known temperature within the range of the probe.
Rugged ABS plastic housing protects meter against harmful chemicals. Splash resistant, shatterproof display window and sealed membrane keypad prevent dirt and moisture from damaging circuitry. One 9V battery (included) gives 100 hours of continuous operation. Meter accepts one YSI 400, 500*, or 700 series thermistor probe with 1/4" phone plug connector.
